This month in the studio I have started a new collection based on all the birds that visit my backyard including native, introduced species and domestic. Birds and their individual characters provide me with inspiration for my work, some are raucous, others shy. I am trying to capture their fleeting nature. Birds also provide a sense of locality, a connection to the landscape.
